This mineral may take a second seat to calcium in popularity, but it is just as essential to health and well-being. Most of the magnesium in the body (70%) is stored in the bones and teeth. The rest of it is found in muscles and soft tissues.

Magnesium is a macro mineral, essential to the proper utilization of other minerals in the body, including calcium and phosphorus. Magnesium is also critical to energy production and to over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body. It helps metabolize carbohydrates, proteins and fats, plus other minerals and nutrients.

Magnesium supports the nervous system.

Magnesium is the central atom in the chlorophyll molecule and in physiology it activates the ATP energy system. Magnesium is necessary for the metabolism of vitamin C, phosphorous, potassium and sodium. It is important to the nervous system and the synthesis of certain proteins. It governs how calcium is used in the body.

NSP combines two forms of magnesium in an herbal base for maximum effectiveness and absorption. Each tablet contains 250 mg of magnesium oxide and magnesium amino acid chelate, plus a base of licorice root, kelp plant, peppermint leaves and white willow bark.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:

Take one tablet daily with a meal.

Other Ingredients: Cellulose (plant fiber), Stearic acid (vegetable), Kelp plant (Macrocystis pyrifera), Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Peppermint leaves (Mentha piperita), and White Willow bark (Salix alba).
