Folic acid is essential for human health, especially for the developing fetus.

Deficiencies in folic acid have been linked to neural tube defects that affect the brain and spinal cord.

It is important for all women of child-bearing age to get sufficient amounts of folic acid.

Its potential to reduce the risk of neural tube defects is so important that the Food and Drug Administration now requires food manufacturers to fortify enriched grain products with folic acid.

It is important for pregnant women, and women planning pregnancy, to receive 800 mcg of folic acid per day.

Each Folic Acid Plus contains 400 mcg of folic acid, plus vitamin C and Bee Pollen.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:

Take 1 or 2 tablets daily with a meal. Before pregnancy, a woman should take 400 mcg a day (take 1 tablet daily with a meal). During pregnancy she should take 800 mcg per day (2 tablets daily with a meal).
