In the 1930s, a Swedish scientist discovered unique substances in the body, which he called “prostaglandins.” Since that time, scientists have learned that every cell of the body contains prostaglandins.

Prostaglandins are messengers that perform literally hundreds of functions, thus they are indispensable for good health. However, the body needs help producing them.

Gamma-linoleic acid (GLA) is an essential fatty acid, without which the body cannot produce a single prostaglandin. GLA is not manufactured by the body. Without an adequate supply of GLA, optimal health is impossible to achieve.
