Devil's Claw is named for its blossoms that turn into thorny pods with hook like projections, resembling claws.

It is found in the harsh Kalahari Desert of southern Africa and is used by natives for many purposes.

Herbalists consider devil's claw a nutritional aid for the structural and immune systems.

This valuable plant has been found effective in the treatment of some cases of arthritis. This action appears to be due to the presence of a glycoside called harpagoside that reduces inflammation in the joints.

Unfortunately Devil's Claw is not always effective, but it is well worth considering in cases of arthritis where there is inflammation and pain. This plant also aids in liver and gall-bladder complaints.

For best results, Nature's Sunshine uses only the plant's secondary roots or tubers.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:

Take two capsules with a meal three times daily.
