Benefits:
The liver performs over 500 functions, including purifying the blood and assisting proper digestion. The Chinese believe that the liver is the home of the soul, and therefore, the most important organ in the body. A Chinese herbal doctor drew upon respected Chinese herbal lore to design this unique formula to support liver function and to encourage an overall sense of well-being. This formula is unique to Nature’s Sunshine and has proven effective ever since it was introduced many years ago. In western herbology, it is considered a liver-cleansing formula. Additional benefits include nervous-system and mood support. The TCM Concentrate contains the same herbs found in Chinese Liver Balance but in a highly concentrated blend. Bupleurum is just one of 12 ingredients, but it is the most important “cooling herb” according to Chinese herbology. It is believed to aid the upward flow of chi, or the body’s living force, thereby strengthening the body against stress. Other herbs support these functions in what the Chinese refer to as a “wood-reducing” formula. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, bupleurum root helps detoxify and replenish the liver. Peony root acts somewhat like red raspberry to nourish the “yin” chi and maintain circulation. Scute root influences bile production. Dang gui root affects smooth muscles, blood lipids and digestive fluids. Panax ginseng root works with glands to relieve stress. Ginger rhizome increases digestive fluids and aids circulation. Licorice root improves digestion and affects energy by feeding the adrenal glands. Zhishi fruit (immature orange), Typhonium flagelliforme rhizome and atractylodes rhizome improve digestion. Cinnamon twig also aids digestion while benefiting the urinary and circulatory systems. Fushen sclerotium helps maintain blood sugar levels that are already within the normal range. Each capsule of Chinese Liver Balance TCM Concentrate is equivalent to 5 capsules of regular Chinese Liver Balance Combination. This product is also part of our Chinese Yang Pack TCM. TCM denotes Traditional Chinese Medicine. RECOMMENDED DOSAGE: Take 1-2 capsules daily with a meal.
